Oh Lord, I've been waiting for the right octave
Oh my God, I really been trying to write it
Oh Lord, how I want to hear that perfect ode
Oh please my God, won't you help me to find it
I like to give the rocker what I can
This dedication is for the special man
To the man with a thousand lyrics
To the musketeer of rock & roll
You man from Emerald Isle, you still live within us
Irish man in heaven above, you still play for us
A musketeer with fighting words, a basic musketeer with glow
In my book of great poetry you're on every page
At night I can see the wild one walking the Elysian fields
The musketeer is playing the harp for another king
He will not ever stop bringing back good old memories
The musketeer he's not alone doing the wild thing
I read them good old lyrics and in the wind I hear the angels whistle
So well the sentences are put together, the harmony takes me high
In north and south the musketeer is the icon on the wall
In east and west a rock`n roll hero never fades at all
Oh Lord, I remember the early days of admiration
Oh my God, I long for them notes we never heard
Oh Lord, I wonder where you would be right now
Oh my God, the rose I bought is still bleeding for you
I would like to give you what I can
This proclamation is for you my man
To you, the man with a rock & roll attitude
You disappeared and left a trace to follow
You man from Emerald Isle, you still live within us
Irish man in heaven above, you still play for us
A musketeer with fighting words, a basic musketeer with glow
In my book of great poetry you're on every page
At night I can see the wild one walking the Elysian fields
The musketeer is playing the harp for another king
He will not ever stop bringing back good old memories
The musketeer he's not alone doing the wild thing
Mother of God, what more can I say?
God gives us endless care and devotion
Messiah lives with the one we all love
We all live this life then we follow him
Right on up, away to his kingdom come
